Sponsors

A big Panda THANK YOU to our current sponsors! Be sure to visit these businesses soon!

Long time sponsor, The Mad Popper returns as an in-kind sponsor for the 2022-23 school year. We love this business because they donate lots of wonderful treats that we share with our teachers and staff. These colorful mini bags have become a staple for our Staff Appreciation Committee to use for early release lunch treats or as a pick me up when the days are long and challenging.

About The Mad Popper:

Andrea Ginsberg became The Mad Popper on June 1, 2011.  A former elementary school teacher, a wife, a mom of two boys and a life long lover of popcorn, Andrea bought  The Mad Popper, established in 2008, with the enthusiasm to take the small local shop and “POP” it on the map!

Andrea invites you to pop in and sample any of The Mad Popper’s seven signature flavors or the featured Flavor of the Week!  Whether you fill a bag with your favorite, divide a popcorn tin or mix up your own unique combination, with over 40 possible flavors on the flavor menu there is always something popping to satisfy your craving.

Alaina Barth Photography returns as an in-kind sponsor for our 2022-23 school year. Our favorite part about this donation is the ability to use it as a prize for membership drives.

About Alaina Barth Photography:

I wasn’t born in a barn but I swung from its rafters on my parents’ farm in Ohio.  I was raised by the Knights who say “Ni”, an artist, a farmer/politician/writer, and PBS.  I had a line in a play in elementary school that I’ll never forget because I was so terrified: “I was so tall, it rained on me 15 minutes before anyone else”….that turned out to be true once I reached high school.  People also always thought it was flooding by how I wore my pants.  I was SUPER popular.

I met my husband in a barn…weird, we keep coming back to that.  We got engaged on a hillbilly beach with a lovely gentleman shouting “Git ‘r dun!”  True story.  When we got married, I told my husband I’d have all ten thousand of his babies…..we have now decided 3 is more than enough.  I drive a mini van. Never say never.

I have a master’s degree I don’t use but an education that has served me well.   I worked at UNC in Housing for 7 years until my second giant baby was born.  (I asked the nurse if the scale was broken)  I’ve lived in North Carolina since 2006 and have a beautiful little lake behind my house. So far, no one has fallen in. (Well, now the dog has and he was less than pleased.)

I started this crazy business in the fall of 2014 because I’m not a good stay at home mom.  My kids are cute, but insane.  You’d think they were raised in a barn….

Jersey Mike’s Subs, located at 7005 Fayetteville Road, Suite 101, Durham, NC 27713, returns as an in-kind and direct donation sponsor for the 2021-22 school year. This location has become one of our strongest partners for helping to feed our teachers and staff, with donations of subs, chips and cookies or deeply discounted catering. They truly understand how far our budget must stretch and do their best to accommodate our needs!

Triangle Rock Club returns as a direct donation sponsor for the 2022-23 school year. They’ve been a sponsor for many years and are always happy to give when we ask for sponsorship.

About Triangle Rock Club:

Triangle Rock Club began as a vision of two former Force Recon Marines who shared a passion for adventure and climbing. After the military and their mountaineering skills led them around the world and back again, Andrew and Luis began crafting a plan for a place where a community could be formed around a common passion for rock climbing.

In December 2007, visions and dreams were transformed into a reality when Triangle Rock Club opened the doors of its first location in Morrisville, North Carolina. As the company grew in leadership, so did its overall size. In 2013, Triangle Rock Club opened its second facility in Raleigh, then Morrisville’s 17,000 square foot expansion opened soon after. In Fall 2014, the company opened a location in Fayetteville. In early 2018, Triangle Rock Club opened its first out-of-state facility in Richmond, Virginia. The company opened its Durham location in May 2019.
